I shoot at my natural light studio in Wellington, or on location at sunset/sunrise for the best light. Am always happy to advise what would work best for your session. Get in touch below and we can chat!

how IT WORKS

Each session fee includes consultation to advise on wardrobe, your photoshoot with me, a beautiful viewing gallery and your initial package of digital images.

Should you fall in love with more than your initial digital collection, you are of course welcome to add more images to your collection, or purchase the full gallery.

I also offer printing and framing options which we can discuss and design in detail together once you’ve received your gallery.

 FAQ

QUESTION:

When is the best time to book a maternity PHOTOshoot?

ANSWER:

I absolutely love celebrating incredible mama bodies! Maternity shoots are best completed around the 30-34 week mark. This way we can ensure that your lovely bump has popped but that you’re still comfortable (and not getting too close to your due date.)

QUESTION:

WHEN is the BEST TIME TO BOOK A NEWBORN PHOTOSHOOT?

ANSWER:

We ideally want to capture your beautiful new little one somewhere between 4-14 days old. After this point, babies are a little less sleepy and tend to be less interested in having their photo taken! Because there is such a small window, I highly recommend booking early - get in touch when you’re in your second trimester.

QUESTION:

WHEN IS the best time to book an older baby PHOTOshoot?

ANSWER:

After the newborn stage, a sitter session is a great next milestone to capture of your little one. This is around the 6-10 month mark when your baby is sitting independently but not yet crawling. It’s a beautiful age where they are still so baby-like but incredibly expressive and full of personality!

QUESTION:

DO you offer client wardrobe?

ANSWER:

Yes, I know how important styling is to create timeless, beautiful images so I have a small client wardrobe for mamas, outfits for older babies and beautiful wraps and swaddles for newborns. This is a complimentary part of booking a photography experience with me.

QUESTION:

IM really nervous in front of the camera, can you help?

ANSWER:

Of course. It’s perfectly natural to feel unnatural! I really encourage my clients to pretend the camera isn’t even there. The moments where you’re hugging your babies, sniffing their hair, looking at your partner in disbelief you created these gorgeous things or chasing a runaway toddler, are the magic moments to capture. For everything else, you’ll receive plenty of direction from me.

QUESTION:

Do you shoot outdoors?

ANSWER:

Yes! I shoot either at my natural light studio in Tawa or my hand-picked selection of beautiful locations around Wellington. However, to take advantage of the very best natural light, I only shoot outdoors at sunset or sunrise. Therefore I don’t do newborn shoots outdoors as it’s best to keep my littlest clients in the warmth of the studio.
